Welcome to the Mark Webber Pure Tasmania Challenge

The Mark Webber Pure Tasmania Challenge (MWPTC) was inspired by the Australian Formula One driver with a dream to create an event that combined his love of keeping fit in the great outdoors, with raising funds for Australian charity organizations.

The Challenge, an annual event, is held in one of the world’s best adventure playgrounds – Tasmania. Competed on a course which is re designed each year the event could begin around the jagged contours and icy streams of Cradle Mountain, pass through the white sandy beaches of Freycinet National Park and visit the historic village of Strahan, all the time delivering competitors an experience of a lifetime.

The Mark Webber Pure Tasmania Challenge is an adventure race which takes in over 350km of terrain; trekking, kayaking, mountain biking and a couple of mystery challenges just for good measure.

The Mark Webber Pure Tasmania Challenge raises money for the Mark Webber Challenge Foundation (MWCF). A firm believer in providing direct assistance to those in need, Mark established the Foundation in 2006 to umbrella his philanthropic activities. Importantly the MWCF allows Mark to decide who benefits from his fundraising efforts and ensures that the funds are applied directly to the need.
