Mark Langsworth
Mark Langsworth is the captain of the team and this is his first foray into an event of this kind. An experienced marathon runner, Langsowrth ran his personal best in the Gold Coast Marathon earlier this year and is familiar with rough terrain after completing a 45km bush marathon in the Blue Mountains.
Nick Ellmore
Nick Ellmore is entering an endurance race for the first time by competing in the challenge. He is attracted to the Tasmanian location and being involved in a team event.
Daniel Hanning
Daniel Hanning is taking a big step from being an occasional 'run to work' man, to taking on kayaking and mountain biking. He has sacrificed much work time to squeeze in a hectic training regime and will be celebrating his second wedding anniversary while tucked away in the Tasmanian wilderness.
Mathew Simpson
Mathew Simpson will be attempting his first adventure race when he tackles the Challenge. Quite different from his everyday sporting interests of rugby union and cricket, Mathew expects that the experience will be extremely challenging yet massively rewarding. He is confident his participation will ignite a new sports passion for him.
